Poor colt, he had just recently become a weanling (so he still misses his mommy) and was brought to our bigger pastures to spend his time with the yearlings band (NW on the map [link])
as the first big thunderstorm of the year formed out of the evening sky. He never saw lightning in his life, but he knew that it was not good.

The pasture has no real water pool or creek, but the masses of melting snow left most pastures with little pools that will dry out slowly.
