When Charlotte Miro returned to her desk in the morning, she found the envelope had returned to her desk again. The invitation had been stuffed back into the envelope, but it had been read - at least that.
"So, shall I tell them to make the horse ready for transport?" , she asked as the Boss came back into the office. The Boss looked at her and his expression was unusual ... content. He answered: "No." and his eyes sparked.
"Just ... no?" Charlotte sighed and raised her eyebrows far above the frame of the glasses to stare at him with disapproval. His wolfish grin appeared on his face. "Why should we? Just because the two young boys are playing business? I beg your pardon. A Mustang-Haflinger-crossbred-convention is not something that I want the stable to be associated with." Charlotte shrugged and made a waving gesture with her hand. "Well then." She started noting something on the computer and didn't say anything more. The Boss was still standing there, now staring at the folders in the rack behind Charlotte. "Something else?" She asked. "No." and his eyes darkened.
"They requested if you could send a picture of the horse, if your schedule does not permit it to go there with the horse." "How thoughtful of them, isn't it? Make an appointment for this ... photography artist." Charlotte raised her head and giggled. "The >expensive crazy guy<" She was quite good at mimicing the Boss' speech. "That one. For the horse."
The expensive crazy guy came two days later from Munich. Ultramarine was groomed and clipped and it was a lucky day, because he accepted to braid his mane. When Mikaelas little girls were done with the horse, it looked like a shining metal figure ... or a big Barbie-horse painted with the silver nailpolish you'd steal from your older sister. The Boss came over with a bridle, that no one at DLS had ever seen. It had a destinctively "southern" look to it. It took some time for the horse to accept the bridle and it showed quite strongly its displeasure. When it was tacked up finally, the greyish fluffball Ultramarine seemed gone. What was before them, was a firey steed, prancing and rearing like a war horse.
"Is that a magic bridle?" Emilie asked the Boss, while the crazy guy took his photos of the Obertaurer stallion. The Boss looked down at the girl. "It just reminds it of something."
The start of a new chapter of the Obertaurer breed is a good reason to update my oldest Obertaurer character. Welcome back, Ultramarine. This is actually the OLDEST Obertaurer in the game and the first Obertaurer that was ever adopted/ imported. It's kind of funny that the Boss, who looks down to this breed, has one of the most rare and useless of these horses in his care - as well as the most typical Obertaurers if it comes to character.
Name: Ultramarine
Barn name: Ultra, Ulle
Age: 21 years
Breed: Obertaurer
Height: approximately 1,60 m
Build: a bulky horse with a deep and broad chest, long back and steep shoulder as well as steep pasterns. The head is big and even for an Obertaurer rather square-ish and big. He has a friendly and open expression as well as intelligent pale blue eyes. Tail and mane are thick and well set.
Character: courageous and brave, libertarian, firm character, good with children, calm and relaxed (bombproof)
Talents: - has probably been a riding horse, no talent proven -
Training Status: semi wild living on DLS property, ground manners ok
History: The boss doesn't tell much about the horse. It's accepted that it does live on DLS property with the stallions and geldings. The horse is never used for shows or riding, though it is always in the middle of action. The very calm and relaxed character suggest that it has "seen much" - as the Boss puts it, but that is all he tells about the horse. The horse has a brand mark on the neck in the shape of a coat of arms with two crossed swords.
Color: Grullo Classic Champagne, Silver, Pearl (recessive); 4 socks, no head marking, freckled skin
Genetics: EE/ Aa (Black) Dd / Ch ch / p nP (recessive pearl)/ Zz (Silver)
Extraordinary Facts: the only pearl carrier among the Obertaurer Breed, rare solid colored variant, the first Obertaurer in the HArpg
Ultramarine natürlich auch.
Mir gefällt es, wie der Sand von den Hufen aufgewirbelt wird, dadurch erhält das Bild noch einen Hauch mehr Dynamik
Gorgeous
