Description

The thunder rumbled across the dried out, dusty land. It was quiet in the camp since everyone had started to prepare for the last day and their return into the future. They all had changed a bit over the days they spent outside in the burning heat of the Colorado Plateau. Most rider - horse teams had formed a closer bond, friendships had formed and they all seemed happy and content and proud. They had started with 200 riders and in the end, there were not even 30 of them left to cross the finish line. The trail had left their mark on them. Dangerzone stood waiting, her nostrils flaring, staring at the brooding sky. She listened to the few sounds coming from the tents of the camp. A woman whispering and a horse nickered softly in return.

Danger shivered as the first drops of rain dripped on her coat. She was standing alone in a small paddock beside the camp. Mikaela had seen to her being all brushed and clean and fed, but she had spoken no word with the mare. And Danger could feel the anger beneath the calm surface of Mikaela that accompanied their interaction every since the incident before the mudbrawl. After that Mikaela was gone and had left her. No other horses were put into the paddock, neither Lawmen nor Outlaws took notice of the mare.

Suddenly Vidar and the annoying black stallion appeared some meters before her paddock seemingly praying to the falling rain. Dangerzone neighed lowly, but they seemed to be in a silent bubble and did not give her any sign or reaction. The mares ears flew back, pressed against her poll, she sniffed at all of this with wrinkled nostrils. Poor dumb horses, so dependant on men.

She did not need any of these!
